Merchant Processing FAQ

There are literally hundreds of POS Systems in the market today. Patriot FSP can interface with most of them. Aloha, Digital DInning, Micros, Squirrel, Restaurant Pro are just some of the most common systems.

Yes; we are able to provide multiple solutions for wireless processing.

Patriot FSP can re-program 95% of the terminals deployed by merchants.

There are several types of terminals available; Patriot FSP can evaluate your particular needs and recommend the best type for you.

In most cases, this can be corrected by turning over the receipt paper.

Terminals require AC power and a basic dial telephone line (can run on DSL with a filter); the telephone line does not have to be dedicated. Some terminals can also be programmed to run via an Ethernet connection.

A credit card transaction is routed from the point of sale/merchant to the Visa/MC/Discover/Amex network for approval. The charge will appear on your monthly credit card statement.

A debit card transaction is routed from the point of sale/merchant to the card issuing bank for approval. The charge will taken from the cardholder’s checking account.

Batches closed out by 6pm CST will get next business day credit. Friday, Saturday and Sunday batches closed out by 6pm CST will be received the following Monday.

With Patriot FSP, the fees are withdrawn at the end of the month, not daily, which makes reconciling your accounts much easier.

You will be able to purchase various quantities of receipt paper at various office supply stores (such as Staples, Office Depot) or warehouse retailers (such as Costco).

When your debit card is used at the point of sale and debit is chosen on the keypad, you will enter your pin and the transaction will be routed to the card issuing bank for approval.
